The “clean” alternatives weren’t effective. The effective ones weren’t clean. And almost none of them were built around the specific needs of our communities.

AWN was founded to change that.

We create clean, affordable hair and skincare that actually works — formulated with purpose, not as an afterthought. We start with the problem: your hair’s porosity, your scalp’s needs, your community’s health. Then we build the solution from the ground up with ingredients you can trust and results you can see.

This is a Black-owned business born from lived experience — the frustration of searching for products that understood us, and the determination to build what didn’t exist. We believe clean, targeted personal care shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be accessible to everyone, at every stage of life.
